BODY LANGUAGE
We do talk verbally but our body does a great deal of talking too.Here's a basic primer to pick up body signals:
UNDERSTAND BODY LANGUAGE:
POSITIVE VIBES:
* Head up and looking straight-suggests a confident and positive approach.
* Sitting straight yet comfortably-implies an attentive and self-assured personality.
* Looking straight without glaring or staring-shows you are serious and attentive.
* Straight shoulders,arms resting on sides or on your thighs , legs uncrossed, pointing at the speaker- shows energy attentiveness and confidence.
* Well combed hair-if long tied or combed neatly implies neatness and a tidy approach.
NEGATIVE VIBES:
* Feet dragging-implies lazy attitude,unlikely to impress.
* Head down-suggests timidity, again not a positive impression.
* Drooping shoulders-could imply lethargy and weariness.
* Clumsy posture-implies the candidate is unfit for the posture.
* Weak handshake- implies meek and ineffectual personality.
* Shifty eyes-suggests nervousness or dishonesty.
* Arms crossed on chest-suggests a defensive stance.
* Feet crossed while standing-concealing something or defensive.
* Fidgeting-implies nervousness or lack of interest.
* Hands in pockets-implies you have something to hide.
